Alexander D. Nekipelov Director of the Moscow School of Economics MSU Holds a course of lectures on the subject: «Introduction into Economics» Born in 1951. Doctor in Economics, Professor, Full Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Graduated from the Economic Faculty of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (Economics) in 1973. In 1976 defended his PhD thesis in economics. In 1989 defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic: “The mechanism of socialist integration.” In 1973-1981 he worked at the Institute of Economics of the World Socialist System of the USSR Academy of Sciences. In 1990 he became deputy director from 1998 to 2003 was director of the Institute for International Economic and Political Studies. Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences since 2001 until 2013. Director of the MSU Moscow School of Economics since 2004 to the present time. Author and co-author of more than 200 scientific publications and works. He has the government awards. He is one of the leading experts in the field of transitional socio-economic processes and general economic theory. In mid-1990s he became one of the founders of Russian-American Group for Economic Transformation. The group played an important role in elaboration of the alternative approaches towards systemic transformation of the Russian economics.
